Watching the bloo shit now and it's a complete embarrassment that an alleged top flight league allows games to be played on such an awful field. But the $100 million check for the MLS/Garber ponzi scheme cleared so here we are.

We've already crafted about 20 "In your Long Island slum" chants. The Draft in Philly should be a fun one.

All they have to do is convince the state that a soccer stadium that will be used 24 times a year tops is a better economic vehicle than an arena that will likely be used close to 100 times a year with a tenant from a league considerably more credible and established than MLS. This doesn't seem like a hard decision. They are actively looking at Belmont now

Oh man if they end up in a location outside the city that is less transit accessible than RBA I will not be able to stop laughing.

The identity of their entire (sad) fanbase is that their team plays in NYC. Unless the MLS or the Yanks makes them leave Yankee Stadium for a real soccer venue, I can't see them moving until they find something in one of the boroughs. I don't see Garber forcing the issue, but maybe the Yanks would at some point.
It would be fucking hilarious if it did happen.

Lol, playing inside the city had never been that big of a deal (Jets, Giants) until NYCFC started and their fans needed to come up with a convenient excuse as to why they hadn't rooted for their local team for the past 20 years.
Would love to see what NYCFC/Giants fans or NYCFC/Jets fans would say if a new NFL team started playing in Yankee Stadium lol

They're so desperate: "a stadium at Belmont could be largely in the boroughs, as there is a strip of land east of the Cross Island that is in Queens (remember, any stadium that is built at that site will be South of Rt 24, not where the current racetrack is). The bulk of the space is Nassau. Could give them the ability to stay the stadium is in NYC (at least partially), even if all the parking ends up in Nassau."
