So what happens next?
Cosmos completely fold.
Rocco buys NYRB, rebrands as Cosmos,
but RB still sponsors team & RBA.
Rocco buys NYCFC, rebrands as Cosmos,
but as no where to play, so groundshares RBA.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Rocco is also saying that Red Bull Arena is a world-class arena. Can't have world class soccer unless it is two world class teams in a world class venue.

What is the buyout on those flopping bonds?

What is the buyout on those government bonds?

$1

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

I edited the wording from government to flopping, as the articles suggest that the bondholders may get their money, but the taxpayers are going to get screwed.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I hope this doesn't happen, let them rot in their baseball stadium.

While they'd finally have their stadium, if that happened you couldn't interpret that as anything other than a capitulation on their ambition.

The politics of today will not support a taxpayer gift to a profit-making company. See Amazon in nearby western Queens. If it happens then I think it would be great for MLS and NYCFC, but I doubt it happens.

Yeah, if the Jets didn't get a taxpayer-aided stadium in Manhattan in a much more favorable political environment, a foreign-owned soccer team definitely won't.

I think all of us wanted to drink heavily after this debacle.

Cosmos now part of NPSL Members Cup. NPSL Pro went from 11 teams to 6 teams and changed name from Founders Cup. Also now 1 division with 5 home games and 5 away games from August-October.

NISA took a few of the other teams and will be running at the same time.

Personally, I bought some ownership in Chattanooga so I have a vested interest in NPSL Pro and have a close friend that took a job with NISA, so hoping for both leagues to be successful.
