Just done a quick calculation, Landon would probably earn about $3.5/$4m per year. High earners at Everton are roughly on £40,000 per week Landon could probably get £50,000 if he wants the money.

If I had to guess at the situation, I'd say if Everton were going to sign him we would get another bank loan to fund it, or theres rumours of selling Rodwell to Man Utd for £15m

If he did sign permanently I'd be suprised, much better teams would be interested surely.

He rubs me as the type of guy who would go with what he knows. I dunno if it is loyalty to the team, or not wanting to go outside his comfort zone, but he knows he has a starting spot, and a suportive fan base, secured at Everton.

Sucks I really wanted him to play in the Merseyside Derby.

I don't. Playing in any games has the potential for injury. The fewer he plays away from the G's the healthier he will be for us.

Interviewer: Are you eagerly awaiting the start of this MLS season, the Galaxy perhaps looking stronger than ever? Maybe the squad is stronger than last season, the squad that won the cup.

Donovan: Yeah, I can't wait to get back.

I love Donovan.

I love Donovan.

It think he goes to Everton because they wear blue like we do.

Interview almost needed subtitles, and our boy needs to get his tan on.

Today on facebook Donovan posted:

Emotional day for me. Devastated I couldn't play, ecstatic we won, sad to leave EFC. Thank you for the memories I will never forget. Most of all, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family #OnceAToffeeAlwaysAToffee

Any word on on why he didn't play? #pleasedon'ttearyouracl

Its probably in the contract that if he were to get injured compensation would be paid, so not worth the risk with one game to go against blackpool. I think a similar thing happened last time round, we used him very little towards the end of the loan.

We are glad to have Lando back, wishing your team the best of luck on your run for the FA Cup.

This guy is 11 goals away from being MLS's all time leading scorer.

Will he break it this year? Next year? Will he be around next year??

The way he's been talking lately sounds like a guy in a rut/mid life crisis of sorts. At this point I feel like I'd be more surprised if he stayed than if he was sold to Everton in January.

I don't mind if Lando leaves. As long as he helps the G's win another championship, it's all gravy. First things first; he needs to light up Metepan this Thursday.
