Bottom line Beckham helped this league tremendously , to what it is today.

MLS's decision to finally spend some damn money to get top name players over here with the Beckham Rule is the major reason they have enjoyed increased popularity in the 10's. I wonder how many people even remember what MLS was like prior to Beckham's arrival.

Anyway DP rule proved successful and finally convinced the suits that the investment of million sin name players did have net positive returns.

Beckham helped this league tremendously ... if Miami goes through will be a big part of the league in the future

MLS Miami's name, crest, colors and start date potentially leaked:  http://www.espn.com/...ademark-filings

Internacional Club de Futbol Miami/Inter Miami.

Black, pink and white.

Starting in 2020.

As far as I know, their stadium situation is still very much up in the air.

Ugh so unoriginal like all the newer mls teams

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

This is the most cringeworthy name for a new club to date, in my opinion. Not to mention they stole Palermo's colors.

Real Salt Lake is still the worst by a mile for me.

Worst MLS team names:

1. Real Salt Lake (worst abomination of a name in any sport)

2. Sporting Kansas City / Inter Miami (sporting?? inter??)

3. NYCFC / LAFC / FC Dallas (these all should have been "SC" since we call it soccer in the US)

4. Atlanta United / Minnesota United

1.DC united, especially if you're going to put other united teams on the list.

Metrostars was not great but it's pretty original and not a nod to some fancy European team/naming convention.

I mean glass houses etc (esp w RB now), but I somehow feel Inter/CdF is especially dumb.

Don't feel strongly against FC/SC/United teams.

The names are bad because they are poor imitations of a Euro team name.  MetroStars may or may not be stupid, but there is no MetroStars that we blatantly copied.

Our current name is the name of our ownership. That is also not a poor imitation of a Euro team name.

RSL I can tolerate the most because I think the fact that it is so ridiculously over the top was intentional as almost a piss take on a pretentious Euro style name.
