It's pretty obvious that everyone outside of the area hates this team. This is especially true of the journalists that cover MLS. They always seems to put any move by the club in a negative light. If we were to sign Lionel Messi (or any other big name player) they would criticize and deride it. It gets pretty damn old pretty fast. Enough is enough. I'm suggesting the following chant as our theme for 2012:
"NOBODY LIKES US, WE DON'T CARE!!"

Credit goes to Mark Fishkin from Seeing Red for coming up with this chant/call to arms.

When the Red Bulls finally win a Cup, I am going to troll the shit out of everybody on MLSsoccer.com and Big Soccer. Just for the fun of it.

I think all three supporters groups have been doing the first verse of that song for a few years. We all know we are hated league wide... and we embrace it!

I do like that second verse... nice touch!

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

The team gets put in a negative light for several reasons that we won't get into, and you obviously care otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to tell people this. Every team in MLS deals with outside critisim and skeptisim...instead of pretending like someone is out to get us, just fucking deal with it and worry about trying to address more pressing matters.

Instead of patting yourselves on the back for not having anyone like you, why not ingratiate yourself to a wider audiance so you can actually fill your section for once.

I swear this fanbase has morphed into one giant walking persacution complex.

It's gotten to the point where I will too.

And to be honest, if the team stays relatively healthy(and Luke's visa thing ends up OK) then I think we are going to win it this year. So much more depth and guys playing where they should be playing. (Rafa)

What do you mean by outside of the area? Outside of teh 5 Burroughs are you talking about Westchester, LI & Bergen? I'm not aware of anything past that.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. Kind of happens when people aren't allowed to get excited for things without being insulted by people like you. It's bad enough we get it from other fans, but one can't even be an optimistic about other fans' hatred without jerks shitting all over it. [I was gonna say assholes shitting all over it, but that's just crude]
