Anyway, if it makes you happy and continues to make you the center of my (Expanded) Universe, I'd say Anakin is Luke's father...from a certain point of view.
How far have any of you gotten in the Book series? Few of us were starting a LARS book club and reading through the Wheel of Time series but after I'm going to go on the journey of reading through the entire Expanded Universe. Should be quite the undertaking. Any recommendations or favorite books? Timothy Zahn pwns all.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

Damn am I the only one who likes Return best? You guys are making me insecure about my Star Wars fandom. Really though creature feature, Luke is a badass, everything gets resolved (or so we think), and Princess Leia slave outift. What more could you want from a film?
On another note A New Hope can not be the best movie sorry
I do love the the death star run by the Lando and Wedge in Return. And the intro with the Rancor and Leia in slave gear is pretty awesome. Just those damned Ewoks that bring episode 6 down for me.
Worst prequal is easily Phantom Menace.
Favorite quote:
"I don't believe it."
"That is why you fail."
Edit: It's funny how "easily" each prequal is the worst. I chose Phantom Menace mainly due to the excessive featuring of Ronaldinho.
Edit 2: Best Star Wars game? I'll go with Knights of the Old Republic. (Followed closely by the arcade Return of the Jedi.)

Empire is by far the best. A New Hope is great though.
Best line out of A New Hope - Vader: "I find your lack of faith disturbing"
Best line out of Empire - Han Solo: "I know"

Best quote(s)?
Darth Vader: What is it, General?
General Veers: My Lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com Scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth System. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment.
Darth Vader: The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system.
General Veers: He felt surprise was wiser...
Darth Vader: He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack.
General Veers: Yes, my Lord.
Then of course the follow up:
[Darth Vader has just learned of Admiral Ozzel's big blunder, and activates a viewscreen]
Admiral Ozzel: [appearing onscreen with Captain Piett] Lord Vader, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed and we're preparing to...
[Ozzel stops, and suddenly begins to choke, clutching at his throat]
Darth Vader: You have failed me for the last time, Admiral. Captain Piett?
Captain Piett: Yes, my lord?
Darth Vader: Make ready to land our troops beyond their energy field, and deploy the fleet, so that nothing gets off the system.
[beside Piett, Admiral Ozzel utters one last strangled gasp, and falls over dead]
Darth Vader: You are in command now, Admiral Piett.
Admiral Piett: Thank you, Lord Vader.
Best game?
I have to go with the Star Wars board game from 1977
Man, I wish I still had that. It'd probably be worth a good chunk of cash.

Hand in airBest movie - Empire (all of us old enough to have seen the original 3 in the movie theaters raise your hand)
EDIT: Although I did manage to get my hands on a bootlegged VHS copy of Jedi before it was released in theatres in australia. (NTSC - PAL convert... not so good)

Best = Empire... easily
No, it doesn't stand alone like A New Hope but it's far a better film. Empire is one of those rare sequels that outdoes the 'original'.
Fuck Seattle.
