Somebody want to explain this one:

Is there any way that we could see the South Ward being general admission this season? Aaron – Hackensack

A: We have had various conversations with our supporters groups in the South Ward and the offer is out there. If they decide they want to do it, we will find a way to get it done.

Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

This guy is such a disaster. Some people don't know when to drop the MS Outlook-speak. These aren't work emails, Chris, you can sound like a human being and treat your fans like people as well.

Why do a mailbag if you're not going to make an attempt at casual discourse? Just forward us some client-facing newsletters and we'll read through them instead.

Edit - you know what, he's doing a fine job of staying out of the way of the supporters groups...which is a big positive. But I've still yet to see any proactive improvements, both on gamedays or in the team's marketing efforts. If he can get things accomplished and still sound like a human proxy that's fine by me. It's the whole.. not getting anything proactively done and still making vague circular promises...which is pretty annoying.

Thats what I got out of it. Check out this one:

Since MLS switched to an unbalanced schedule I think MLS Supporter's Club's will play a more active role during closer away games this season. Has there been more thought to get organized trips to away games because of this? Kevin Webster – Toms River

A: We are actually working very closely with our official Supporters groups, our official bus company and the other MLS teams to be able to provide a good experience for our traveling fans. As mentioned in my answer to the previous question, I suggest you see what any of our three official Supporters clubs are talking about and even better, become a member so that you are kept in the loop of all these deals/plans.

What a toolbag. "Ask the Supporters!" What deals? What Plans? What assurances we get something a little more Columbus and a lot less Philly in our away experiences?

And, here are the terse replys via Facebook... Enjoy!!

My dear Mr. Heck (and that is intended to sound derisive): I used to have plenty of positive things to say about RBNY. Then you were hired, told everyone our season tickets had been a gift (I assume from the always benevolent FO), raised prices, and stripped away benefits. All the while you and your staff ignore little things like: traffic patterns, parking, public safety within the arena, concessions, and the other messy stuff we need a President of Business Operations to actually DO something about. Please: you have the audacity to make the statement that it's nice to hear one positive comment out of hundreds? Keep your head in the sand, ignore the complaints, go along as if there are millionaires at every corner of Harrison, NJ panting to buy your tickets, and keep telling us how you run an urban stadium that doesn't need parking. You've offered help to PATH? How can you help PATH? You can'r even run the business you own already! You won't even pay Harrison the taxes you owe them! Just keep your head in the sand and stop making these insulting public statements.

Lenny Train · Montclair
Hey Chris and RBNY. Don't do anymore mailbags. It's just not worth it. I wasted my time reading this, and you wasted your time dodging questions. Nobody is winning in this. I'll make sure to forward this to the next mailbag as well, with more questions suited to you. "Will a girl play for the Red Bulls this year? Are we in the MLS? Are you sticking with Stampede even though it is a weak marketing gimmick? I think you may have an easier time answering those questions.

Laura Perry
As usual, totally dodged what was asked.

Thomas Binkley · Reston, Virginia
Wow. More bullshit and arrogant avoidance of some pretty softball questions. He consulted Portland when they entered the league? Really? Must have taken his input and put that on the "What not to do" list. 100 or so negative responses. This time. Keep it up Chris, I can't wait to hear the crap you spew when you "choose another opportunity" and fuck off to the next franchise with hard working fans to attempt to exploit. Better them than us. Maybe you could help DC.

They are a great franchise in the making that provides a premium experience in a market with the unique characteristics that Portland presents.

Is anyone a native speaker or spend time in Corporate Marketinglandia? I checked Google Translate but it wasn't one of the options.

And yeah, things are rarely black and white, and Heck does seem to be doing a decent job of staying out of the way of the supporters groups. Would be nice if he successfully reduced the ticket broker thing too like he's said he has. Some of the few bright spots from a guy who I mostly disagree with.

I wouldn't waste my time reading what these assholes have to say. Chris Heck rocks!!

"They better keep playing that RB Arena update because that unbuilt stadium is the only positive thing about this soft-drink-selling, coached-by-a-dumbass, trading-good-players-for-shit, hopeless, retarded, club." - MetroFanatic

"It was always six weeks away. Every month, [Nick Sakiewicz] would say, we're six weeks away from the stadium. It's been the longest six weeks of my life." - Mike Petke

"I think every country can learn everything about each other. If the whole world can be together, it can be good." - Mathias Jorgensen

"I want to give you lots of titles for your happiness. Lots of hugs.” - Fabio

How about the guy who wanted to move the supporters to the midfield and said we should be more like DC in the same sentence? He should be banned for life.

As a 2011 partial ticket holder (went to 10 games) and a planned 2012 partial ticket holder, I'd love to know what improvements may have been made to the fan/stadium experience this year. Thanks. Peter Knox – Brooklyn

A: I look forward to you entering River Bend and seeing for yourself some of the improvements we have worked on. I’m certain that our experience next season will be second to none in MLS.

He couldn't even name one positive thing? Marcus Holgersson would have been a correct answer FFS.
