BWP.... Maybe this injury he had and how he slow has gotten more time maybe he starts to hit his stride

The pain is bearable is not exactly the words I want coming out of our star strikers mouth. Expectations for him should be next to nothing.

Ok, so is this an injury where the pain will ever again be better than 'bearable'? If so, why the hell has he been playing instead of recovering. Not like he's done a lot or is being relied on as a starter.

i just bought a ticket via the ESC site. How do we pick up if we're not going on the bus? Do we meet at the stadium? Or is it emailed?

My guess is that this is the injury that ends his career.

Players play through pain all the time. Usually theres nothing said anything about it. So the fact that we got that quote a while ago troubles me. My guess is that he knows this is it, but when he felt well enough to contribute he decided to do just that.

Ticket distribution is TBD. You'll be notified via e-mail once it's determined.

hard to say.

Well enough to play with tolerable pain is different from almost pain free and feeling agile.

Could easy be a case of you can be 80% better after time with possibility of getting to 90-100 percent OR could have surgery be out for 6-9 months and who knows what then.

Anyone remember Heath Pearce with his hip cartilage tear that was apparently 'bearable to play through but ended up having surgery.

Tyler Adams is still not fully back for RBL and just read he is not expected to play until 2-3 weeks from now!  They both had groing injuries - how similar nobody knows.

Very hard to tell what to do in this circumstance and with 1.5 weeks to go.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Well if he played through it for the last 3 months, definitely don't have surgery now :)

                ?(1)?

  Royer - Kaku - Sims

          CCJ - ?(2)?

Taxi - Parker - Long - ?(3)?

1) BWP has been "healthy" for how many games now? It certainly seems as though he's shot. Its not like he's getting unlucky. He hasn't been creating chances. He looks old, slow, and a shell of his former self. That said, you don't lose the ability to finish overnight. I don't think we can start him. I think we save him as a super sub if we need a goal late.

Brian White has been good all year. But looked very rusty last game. Do we start him, even though he's barely fit? Or do we start Tom Barlow, who has shown glimpses of quality, but has very little experience.

I'm really torn on this one. I say go with White. Hope he can get back to game fitness in the by the 19th.

OR....do we start Royer at striker and play maybe Muyl at wing?

2) Do we start RZA or Davis? I say go with RZA. Davis has had a poor year overall. RZA has been hot an cold, but he has the capability of putting out a very good performance. How many games has Davis sat this year though?

3) If Duncan is healthy, he starts. But is he? If he's not, do we start Murillo, who's brain isn't working half the time? As bad as he's been, I think I'd still start him over Buckmaster and Lade (who hasn't seen the field in months). People might suggest Muyl, but he has never played RB in a 4 man back line. A playoff game is not the time to experiment.

This is our shortest away trip - and its a winnable, single elimination playoff game. Everyone should make the trip down to Philly!

I hope that the team shows up!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I think the history of this team is replete with failure when moving players to new positions in playoff games..... Either White performs and the team pulls together or we wait for next year....

This is also dependent on Philly FO. Sounds like ESC and VA have both filled 2 busses and are now waiting to see if they can get more tickets from Philly. If Philly doesnt allot any additional tickets, sounds like well have around 300+. 4 busses, those who bought tickets without the bus combo, and the small GSU contingent.

Dream scenario for me:

We beat Philly. Atlanta and Toronto win (thanks for playing DC!) We beat Atlanta. Toronto beats the Smurfs in Hartford or wherever (thanks for playing!) We beat Toronto. We beat FCD at home and hoist the cup.

What WILL happen:

We beat Philly and Atlanta...false hope. We get smoked by NYCFC at yankee stadium and they go on to beat FCD in the Cup final.

I was hoping to see ATL & DC knocked out of the MLB playoffs yesterday. ATL was crushed, but DC had a miraculous comeback and won in 10.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Yankees advanced to the ALCS. It's becoming increasingly unlikely that NYCFC will be able to play there, unless they advance to and host MLS Cup.
