Any predictions on the Frijol De La Hoya vs Mayweather bout coming up?
Thought's on Zab Judah? One of the best IMO.
I think Mayweather will outbox him like Whitaker did. This won't be a good action fight, but rather just a technical exhibition. At the end de la puta will whine that Mayweather didn't want to fight like he always does when gets outboxed. The only x-factor is that the fight will be at 154 and not the 147 Mayweather is accustomed to, so if culero catches him with solid power punches he might complicate Mayweather's game-plan.
Judah has really good hand speed and deceptive punching power, but his cockiness and unorthodox style gets him in trouble. His next fight is against Cotto on June 9th, who successfully defended his Welterweight title this past weekend. Cotto has awesome power and is an exceptional body puncher. This should be an entertaining fight.

Those of you who follow the sport probably know about his 'vida loca', the latest chapter of which sees his brother-in-law die in a car wreck on his way from visiting Johnny in hospital.
Jesus. Get well soon, dumbass...

Tapia family hit with new tragedy
Robert Gutierrez, 39, brother--in-law to Johnny Tapia, was killed before dawn Tuesday on his way back to Albuquerque from Farmington when the car he was in rolled off the highway. 23-year-old Ben Garcia was with him. State police say neither Gutierrez and Garcia had been wearing seat belts, and that alcohol may have been a factor. Investigators found empty bottles and partially consumed bottles at the scene. Gutierrez was Tapia's right hand man, and one of his cornermen at every fight. -- Chris Cozzone

The following happened yesterday. Maybe Tapia’s OD was due to this:
From fightnews.com
I read that Guti was onhis way back from visiting Taps in the hospital. Another chapter in an eventful life. That's probably why Bruckheimer hasn't made the movie of his life yet. He's waiting for the next catastrophe.
As far as 'The World Awaits'...
I've been a critic of DLH for a long time. I think he's fake. His 'Golden Boy' image bugs me as does his tendency to run in the late rounds.
But FUCK I hate the Mayweathers. 'Fiddy Cent' too. What a bunch of mouthy, backstabbing assholes.
If you're not sure who to root for, watch the 4-part series about the match on HBO tonight. That should make up you're mind.
I'd like to see Golden Boy take Pretty Boy out in the 6th but I have a feeling that Floyd takes a decision.
Then I want to see Freddy Roach bust Roger Mayweather in the mouth in a fight instigated by a legless Larry Merchant...

I want de la puta to win simply, because I despise mayweather and his entourage. His only chance is to turn it into a slug fest, but mayweather is a track star, so this will probably be a disappointing fight.

This is the type of fight that a bunch of non-boxing fans watch and then feel ripped off afterward. I hate non-boxing fans awful analyses, “but they didn’t even try to punch eachother.†Shut the fuck up and die.
I see that Rocky Juarez is on the undercard. Anyone else as unimpressed with him as I am?

Mayweather is an asshole.
Mayweather will win the fig0ht* His quickness and agility will cramp Oscars fighting style and force him to start taking risks, which Mayweather will capitalize on. I'm also sure Mayweather Sr has told his sons camp how to approach this fight.
The best thing Oscar has going for him is Freddy Roach, best trainer in the business IMO. As long as it does not end in a draw, it will be a good fight.
*Or not

Diego Corrales killed: http://sports.espn.g...tory?id=2863505
Like him or not, pretty sad story.
I'll never forget that epic fight against Castillo in 2005. I was about to turn the T.V. off, already in bed, then I said to myself I'll check one more channel...ah boxing on Showtime....Corrales is decent....what a fight. R.I.P.
