Multiple sources tell The Athletic that the Red Bulls are close on a deal to sign defender Tim Parker to a multi-year contract. One source said that the deal would utilize Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) to lock down the center back. The Red Bulls declined to comment.

Just earn it!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Get in.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

i think they'll both be paid well. let's hope it's a 3 yr/$2.5m deal or so for each.

We have like 1.5 million in Cap space even without the Tyler Adams allocation money. I'm all for paying Parker and long so they are the rocks of our defense.

The thing that annoys me about the salary cap is that there is no consideration for the differences in state and local taxes. For example, playing for NYCFC, a player has to pay IRS+NYS+NYC taxes, whereas a player for Orlando just pays IRS taxes.

Just have your entire team claim residence in Florida for half the year!

[Ives]:I’m told the New York Red Bulls have completed a deal with Tim Parker on a three-year contract that should make him one of the highest-paid defenders in #MLS #RBNY

Smart. Every position in soccer is important but having a great CB pairing is crucial.

The deal, which was reached Tuesday afternoon, will see Parker paid in the neighborhood of $700,000 in the first year and up to around $800,000 at the end, a source said. The club paid part of the salary down with allocation money (from prosoccer)

Good deal for both sides link

i wasn't that far off with the guess-timate. i said 3 yrs/$2.5, prob closer to $2.25m. good for him. i expect a similar contract for Long.
