Typical dodge.

Say that we're not looking at old DPs when what the fans are asking for are quality players of any age.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

There you have it. Nothing will be done.

They had 4 months to indoctrinate him on the RBNY way. Looks like theyve done their job well.

Action over words and all that jazz.

Yeah RedBulls transfer and roster requirements arent and shouldnt be alien to fans of any RedBull owned club. They probably arent going to sign many players over the age of 25.

Agree but its hard to argue that it hasnt been diminished even though they want us to believe otherwise.

Its pointed out in the article, and it was mentioned by some around the fanbase when Thelwell was hired, that Hamlett is responsible for advising Thelwell on the convoluted MLS roster rules, etc.

Yes, but who among us was actually "concerned" that Hamlett's role would be diminished? I don't think there's a person on this board who wasn't hoping for exactly that.

more of the same old bullshit. doubt they'll spend. they'll prob do a similar thing and bring in a guy on loan like they did Sims, and they'll hang their fucking hat on that shit.

He said their not rebuilding.  You can't rebuild a roster that's been torn down already.

Only thing left to do is sell long and parker...

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

It's a nice theory, but not really explained why that is the case. There's no universe in which NYRB is a bigger club than Wolves now or in the near future. Leipzig arguably is, so maybe that's the endgame.

Or maybe he just wanted to live in/close to NY?

you would think that...and then you look at the countless posts in this forum asking for RBNY to sign a 30 year old DP and it really makes you scratch your head.

Hired February 3rd. This initial presser last week.
Did anyone ask when he actually arrived here?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

With the virus, who can blame him if he as delayed?

That is a response, but not an answer, to my question.

Ali Curtis was prone to some pretty mindnumbing corporate speak, but credit where credit is due he showed up willing to share his vision for the club. He fed beat writers actual details of the infamous "300 page plan" so fans knew what to expect.

Everything Thelwell said here could have been written by a bot that spits out talking points for new GMs. We've learned literally nothing, to the point where it seems pointless to even try and pick apart any of these comments.
