Davis (8 who cant play the 6)

I got into a lengthy argument with someone the other day who was adamant that Davis was THE answer for the national team at defensive midfield. They clearly haven't ever watched him play - it was immensely frustrating.

maybe they are planning on more 8 and go more 442 or some other formation that relies less on high level CDM.
or 4312 - I liked when we played like this

Royer BW
  Kaku
LM CCJ RM
back 4

boy would Brian Lozano from Santos be great in that RM.

It does push Royer further up the field which is probably ideal at this point in his career.

There are a few decisions to be made, I guess well find out what the plan of action is soon enough

2 years ago, you could make the argument that Davis at least deserved a sniff at the full team. But he's regressed so much that it's no longer viable.

Or you put him next to Tyler or Alfredo Morales and he looks good again.
As a Sean fan I think there r other younger options who have higher upside

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Royer should be moved more centrally at this point in his career. He is not that mobile and fast anymore to be roaming the wings. So the Team technically needs two game-changing wingers.

Stefan Illsanker -  CDM CB (RB)  if they think Tyler is truly back or another player could cover this would be a good transfer

Only 2 games this season

and then 3 young players - RB Brazil and 2 from RBS who play for their 2nd division side Liefering -

Pedro Naressi who is a 6 but can get forward

Pokorny is a true 6

Amar Dedic who is a RB/LB

Ilsanker would serve as the veteran synergy signing, a la Rza his 1st yr here. His versatility would be more than useful. No idea wrt if he's injury prone. The others would prob have to go the Rito route and play for RB2 for a yr or a half season.

I think rbny should try to target guys from the expansion draft.

The guys i would trade for are:
Beitashour
Meram
Kitchen
Agudelo
Sjorberg (he was a beast in 2016)

Maybe bring in someone to be 2/3 CB - I like these guys but triple down on youth -

Also an outside back who can push Duncan for the starting RB spot.

Miguel Angel Borja.... He'd be a 20+ goalscorer here
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.
