I think they only improved, they were the only team to return all starters, plus we got better at QB with Rex being healthy (Crosses Fingers) and Griese to add veteran help. Yahoo sports' Barry Willner thinks they will finish second to the vikings with a record of 7-9. What a TWAT http://sports.yahoo....G...p&type=lgns

In 2001 , they beefed up on an easy schedule and fell apart the next year. Last year they once again had an easy schedule.
Both in 2001 an 2005 they were no match for their first round opponent at home. You can not stand pat from one year to the next. Willner is right. Think about it , the only good offenses they played last year were the bengals , steelers , and panthers and they got roasted to the tune of an average of 30 points in those games.

Absolutely unpredictable year-to-year as well as game-to-game.
How can anyone be a hard-core Fire fan and Bear fan? Way to much stress.
I *embarassingly* put my faith in them late last year only to watch Steve Smith run a track meet through them.
Plus, this QB thing is old. NFL teams need 2 starting-level QBs to run a season.
Lastly: the movie: Invincable Moe, Larry and Curley were more convincing football players than Marky Mark. The football scenes were obviously created by Madden 06 crew.

how can you improve when your running game is worthless and your passing attack is currently hinging on the performance of brian greise and rex grossman?

defense will get you to the playoffs but won't get you farther than that. too many complete teams out there, the bears are lucky they're in a terrible division.

The NFL is the sports lifeblood of this country. If it bores you , do not watch it. The bears never score any points, maybe that is why you find it boring. The NFC North will not be bad this year , the Packers and Vikings were ravaged by injuries last year.
