Given what happened in the playoffs.. yes it was success.

No MLS team can survive in the playoffs when you lose all your best players to injuries.

It was crappy luck that it happened since this team is built to beat the top MLS teams.

To me, our record at home in 2019 demonstrates that the season was a failure.  We NEVER used to lose at RBA.   I think we had the best home record in MLS between 2010-2018.  The drop-off in home form was something else  And we've done nothing of substance to improve last year's roster.  You can pin your hopes on Stroud and Lema and Tolkin (all of whom I hope play well), but other teams are signing bona fide stars.

I want to be wrong, mind you.  But your rose-colored lenses are something to behold.

Im not going to feel into your delusions. Enjoy having fun with the rest of the group.

These boards need a good protagonist.

Very true. Record at home from 2010-18 was impressive, with the erm...odd loss or two. There were some wack AF losses at RBA last yr, though. And there were plenty of 'em.

The new anthem is awesome.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. Cristian Roldan was drafted by Seattle. He was born and raised in California - they didn't develop him.

I forgot... soccer players miraculously develop on their own.

qualifying for CCL is the minimum. anything less is mediocre.

You eschew the Leagues Cup?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
