City ... shitty field ... has to be the worst field ...
MLS 1.0 AstroTurf with football lines included.

I would go with any grass surface over a plastic pitch.
YS is too narrow & one end sucks, is all.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Narrow, short, and the center field corner flag is right on a seam with sodded over warning track that Royer injured himself on.

It has always been rough. Saw an international match in the old YS in 1976. Still beats plastic pitches.

RSL scores in 51st on great passing.
Rimando gives it back in 60th.
Final 1-1, KC with away goal.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Except that we cannot win a cup!
So, accept that we cannot win a cup!

Their fans remind me of the west coast version of NYCFC

They 100% are.  A bunch of people who live in the burbs themselves, but say that they support the "true team" for playing within city limits because it sounds better than "MLS wasn't cool enough to watch until there was a shiny new toy".  Plus former Chivas in this case.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Seattle-Portland in progress on FS1.
Damp, cold weeknight has not affected attendance.

damn, some of the Portland players didn't realize away goals don't count if they come after 90 minutes...

Still I hope they pull out the shootout win, seattle sucks.

Portland wins on PKs!
Congrats Gio!
Wins in Dallas in 4-5 match, advance in Seattle on PKs.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Portland wins the shootout!

Nice closeup on the Antifa drum in the Seattle supporter's group just after Bwana kept them alive with his penalty.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
