This is sad after watching him move through the ranks with Red Bull. He was given garbage to work with at Leipzig compared to what they had a past couple years. Wouldn't shock me to see him as an assistant with ManU now.

Ugh
Losing at home definitely hurt
Thought he would have the year
Got covid snd fired by phone - merry Xmas!

Derek Rae on Twitter has great thread

Sounds a bit mutual

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I think it is especially unfair to fire him while he is stuck at home with COVID and didnt even coach the last few games.

Won't happen but I'd love to have him back.

Sad to see him let go. I think he just needed some more time to have the team gel.

Imagine he becomes ac for man u and then becomes hc?

So Red Bull invests 7 years and god knows how much money into Marsch, only to cut him halfway through the year. Makes a lot of sense!

Red Bull apologists out in full force today on Twitter.

How dare I draw parallels to RBNY with them not investing in quality replacements.

"It's the system". Who moves away from the system and then hires the guy who perfected it and gives him 4 months?

It is an absurd decision. Give him a season at least. Or at least thru January.

Wasnt there chatter before he was announced that Marsch maybe wasnt RBs first choice for the Leipzig job? They didnt replace what the team lost in the offseason, so they definitely didnt set him up to succeed.

Wasnt he Ralfs pet project? Maybe the new hierarchy at RB Global just doesnt rate Marsch the same way.

I agree, but I also understand the thought process of not holding on to a guy you dont rate and if you can get the coach you want in, give that guy the Jan window to turn things around.

I sadly agree. I can definitely see RBs reasoning, but I feel like it was very unfair to Jesse.

I also suspect if he was German, he might have gotten more time.
