In Cups. Something we have never managed to do.
To be fair, they compete in a cup where they can win with 4 draws (over 2 legs) if they score enough away goals.
Even if they won 5 in a row (after they lose to us) they will be at 30 points in 21 games.
FWIW their next 5 matches are @minnesota, @SKC, @Orlando and a home and home with Chicago (with 2 legs of their phony-baloney Canadian cup midweek before each of the Chicago matches, they will play either a team from quebec or ontario so travel not an issue.)
It's getting late for them to claw their way back into the playoffs, needless to say I'd rather see them fail in that endeavor.
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

phony-baloney Canadian cup
Nothing fake about it. You can only win the competitions that you are in.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Its never too late in MLS!!!
My guess is we roll into this game all smug as shit about beating Dallas. Toronto takes the 3 points and goes on a run.
Because Metro.

Duncan's still out for the season
Beze is still out for at least another month
Meara could be also out
Also, I don't think Murillo and Fidel will be played this weekend, even if released from nat'l team duties
BWP
Valot Kaku Muyl
Tyler Davis
Taxi Long Parker Lade
Robles
Louro Collin Kutler Rza Rivas Mines Etienne
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

If this was against a full strength TFC that wasn't suffering from CCL hangover, I'd think we're heavy underdogs. This time around, I think we have more than a fair chance to secure a result of some kind.

Not with Muyl starting over Etienne. Give Derrick a run with the top choice attackers.

They've gotten a similar amount of time and produced similarly. I'm a fan of Etienne and no big fan of Muyl but Etienne has to start finishing, or making plays that result in finishing.
Otherwise Muyl is better defensively so Etienne has to start making the offense outweigh the defense.
Really think that's why Valot is our guy there now. He's good defensively and good offensively.

What about RZA starting over both of them

Not crazy but I think they see Rza as a 6. Also agree in that he could probably do a good job at either spot.

i actually wouldn't mind Rza instead of Muyl or Etienne to start. In our lineup and gameplan, we don't really play with true out-and-out wingers. Royer and Valot both tuck in, and the outside defenders regularly overlap.

No doubt, thats why this is about who plays in Royer's spot, which i think needs to offer more wing-like play since Valot plays his side more like an attacking 2-way mid.
DE7 has 120 less minutes (and several less seasons) played than Muyl with 1 more point of production. And its an eye test thing. The offense flows and has ideas when Etienne is out there, less so when a fullback is up in attack. He needs a little more hunger for goals, but I think folks are being way too harsh on DE for his misses v Philly. Good things happen when he's out there.

TFC, iirc plays defense pretty well, they don't bunker, but they have been good as a unit prior to the hangover/injuries.
