We may be closer than we think there. But will the team/fanbase give him time to solidify his game? The lack of excitement around a homegrown player with 1v1 skills and real creativity continues to mystify me.

Etienne is moving in the right direction but still has a lot to improve. What if he doesn't reach fullfil that potential until 2022? Should fans be OK with mediocre/decent play until then instead of signing more proven talent?

We have a DP spot, we have owners with money, we have a team that a lot of smart people think was one attacking piece away from an MLS Cup. Tough to say fans are unreasonable for not wanting to see out Etienne's development instead.

We're the third link in the Red Bull fussball chain, prepare for more of this.

Tyler has the potential to be a world class player, if not Leipzig he was going somewhere else. MLS fans as a whole need to prepare for this as we get better at creating young talent, this has 0% to do with our owners.

Take the pessimistic approach and be prepared for the worst.

Surely there's a stronger word than pessimistic to describe being happy with the team 0% of the time

Koko's standards might be a tad bit high, but its kind of encouraging that the additional cap resources from MLS and more ambitious owners have pushed the league to the point that we're even having a conversation about keeping 4 starting quality fullbacks on the roster. I feel like it wasn't that long ago you were lucky to have a decent player past the 14th spot on the roster.

The "hate" with Muyl is that for every good goal and assist, he has a whole bunch of missed opportunities, missed passes/crosses or missed touches that lead to nothing. There have been games where the ball just stops moving every time the ball gets to his spot. He's a great depth and bench player to have but not the starting RM/RW we are looking for.

Muyl fits @ronalgringo's Darlington Nagbe heat map:
