He was gone almost a decade ago and really we give our academy far too much credit for this one. He was here very, very briefly (about as long as Jan Halvorson's son).

Lille is a step down from PSG where he saw some time, and he saw regular time with Celtic on loan. If he gets game time with Lille, probably a good move.

thought I read we get a few $$ because he trained with us a little over a year.  His club in Brooklyn Queens Gott-something should benefit as well.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Lille's a step down, but they are in the Champions League this season.

They somehow flipped places with Monaco between 2017-18 and 2018-19; Lille went from 17th to 2nd, while Monaco went from 2nd to 17th.

Ligue 1 is tumultuous.

Lille ... are in the Champions League this season.

Directly to the group stage, while his previous club Celtic (on loan) will have to to navigate their way through several qualifying rounds, as champion, trying to make one of six remaining spots.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

what matters for Tim Weah is that he gets consistent PT. what channel/service has Ligue 1? BeIn? or does Fubo carry it?

hope Directv sorts out their issues with beIn by August.  Not holding my breath though.

What is Timo's best position? And where can he help the US Nats the most?

Personally I think his best spot is at striker. However, I can see him getting time at outside mid unless Boyd can show he is the real deal. This would be a dream lineup for us going into the next cycle:

--------Weah

Arriola--Pulisic---Boyd

-------Mckennie--Adams

??--Long--Brooks----Yedlin

-----------Steffen

For the ?? I'd go with Antonee Robinson or Nick Lima.  And please no more of this stupid hybrid role for Tyler. Just slot him in the center of midfield and have him go off
