Folks, S8C is looking into an end of season fundraiser, party, celebration. Right now it looks like it might be on Wednesday the 15th of Nov., or Thursday the 16th. It'd be near downtown, 6PM. We're trying to guage interest to see if it's a good use of our energy to try and pull everyone together before the winter sets in.

Any thoughts are welcome.

I work until 6 pm on Wed. so Thursday would be better for me. Who am I kidding? I'll be there either day.
I AM A FAN OF THE CHICAGO FIRE. AS SUCH I BELIEVE YOUR TEAM IS INFERIOR TO OURS IN EVERY SINGLE WAY. IN FACT, I HEARD THAT YOUR TEAMS FANS COME FROM LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS AND HAVE HAD SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH FAMILY MEMBERS. IN CONTRAST AND IN SPITE OF ACTUAL EVIDENCE I BELIEVE THAT YOUR FANS HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A FAIR AMOUNT OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY INVOLVING LIVESTOCK. OUR SUPPORTERS GROUP'S POWER OF RHETORIC IS SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL THAN YOURS. IN FACT OUR FANS HAVE HAD A ROMANTIC INTERLUDE WITH YOUR GOALKEEPER'S WIFE IN WHICH FELLATIO WAS PERFORMED FORTHWITH OVER A PERIOD OF HOURS. WE THEN PAID HER FOR HER SERVICES. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO INFORM FANS THAT OUR SUPPORTERS GROUP CONSUMES LARGE AMOUNTS OF ALCOHOL AND NARCOTICS IN AN EFFORT TO SHOW HOW POWERFUL AND FRIGHTENING WE CAN BE IN AN EFFORT TO INSTILL PSYCHOLOGICAL FEAR AMONG OPPOSING PLAYERS.

I could be there around 7, so as long as the party lasts a few hours, I'd be good. Either day probably works, but if I had pick, Thursday the 16th would be best. I can maybe bring my roomates who are more casual Fire fans. Any idea as to where specifically this would be held?

If in or close to the loop (Billy Goat, etc.) I could be in since I work at Clark and Wacker. Beyond that, probably less since I gotta catch the train back out to the burbs, and they start to run less frequently as the night goes on.

Billy Goat!

or Elephant and Castle?

or Berghoff Bar?

Manhattan's (dearborn and vanburen?) is also alright and never too busy

If not in the Loop, then The Globe?

My vote is for Thursday the 16th unless this is a dictatorship. If it is a dictatorship, I, for one, welcome our alocholic overlords.

We're looking at Morgan's, on Halsted just south of Roosevelt. I'm pulling for Wednesday because of my school schedule, but the 16th is still in the running.

If only I were 21..

Well, if we can squeeze in youngin's, we will.

The party, if it happens, will have liquor and food. It will also be a fundraiser for S8C and the FWFK Foundation. So I'll do what I can to make sure the under 21s can donate a nominal fee and be involved.

(My advice: tuck away $10 just in case)

I'll definitely be there. Morgans would be good for me (I live only half a block away). Have you considered Junior's? (just around the corner from Morgan's, on Maxwell Street).
