Yankee Candle

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Don't know what to make of this game. We have fared pretty good against NE at home; its away that's been a different story. One thing is for sure, the East is looking more dominant than the West.

We are 8th in the East in PPG, 14th overall.

If Collin & Gulbrandsen can go, I think this needs to be the lineup:

     BWP - Gulbrandsen

    Royer - Sacha - Muyl

               Felipe

Taxi - Long - Collin - Murillo

If Collin is still not fit, then DP.  If Gulbrandsen can't go, then play the Toronto game's second half lineup with Davis next to Felipe and BWP solo up top.  Either way, have Veron first off the bench.  He did more offensively in 7' than either Grella or Muyl did in their 60'+ last game.

Dunno, I don't think Royer all that good against TFC, imo.

Honestly what is it going to take to give Allen a shot?

Basically it felt like he would do two good moves then shit the bed on the move that counted. Thought he had a real frustrating game in that regard.

We know Veron is not starting and Royer at least looked ok, Grella offered nothing.  I rewatched the game and besides picking off one pass in the second half (and proceeding to do nothing with the ball) he offered nothing positive offensively.  Every ball he played was square or back.  We need our wingers to be aggressive.

You think benching BWP will be the answer to this teams woes? What has  Allen showed that he should play over BWP? He hasn't impressed to that point. The comparisons to him and Woly don't seem to be that far off.

Yea, Allen's had trouble just staying on his feet the last couple of times I've seen him in with first team.

Not at all, im talking if we go two up top. Marsch would rather play one striker then use Veron or Allen. Kinda crazy.

If he partners FG with BWP, you could insert Davis and make it the 5man midfield or insert veron up top to partner BWP instead, when you take off FG.

Then there's the report from the half time show where Hamlett/Marsch are looking at another attacking player in addition to getting a CB out of 3 identified players.

He's shown that he prefers to play 2 up top.  He wasted two offseasons on a formation that had two up top.   The problem is that we suck with that.  Especially Sacha.

The last game was the best version we've seen of it but I don't think we can survive with that because I don't think Felipe (as mobile as he is) can be the only 6 on the field.
