All time leading scorer who has led the club to two supporter shields, the only trophies we have ever had.

Are they going to replace the JPA 58 thing at the arena?

I still rate JPA ahead of him, but BWP is absolutely in the legends category as far as I'm concerned

I think if they ever put statues of legends in or out of RBA , BWP is definitely in the conversation for getting one. He has entered in my opinion into the Metro Legends list with Petke , JPA , Henry and many others.

BWP, Team Legend? Abso-fucking-lutely. Best ever? Hell, no. That would be Thierry Henry and everyone knows it.

I understand BWP has the most goals in franchise history but he still fucks up alot. If JPA had the service and opportunities that BWP gets now he'd probably have twice as many goals. grella's finishing sometimes puts BWP to shame and he mainly plays out of position as a winger.

Talent wise? Henry. Club importance? You can LEGITIMATELY make the case for BWP. Is it a coincidence the only trophies we have came during his few years here? Probably not. He's definitely not the most talented player ever here but I won't discount his status. I'm also okay with others making the case for a few others to play for this team though. No clear cut answer.

BWP was the constant, but was he the best player on either Shield team?  Thinking Henry & Sacha.

I'd agree that Stache has been the single best player this season and last - which annoys me even more that he doesn't get USMNT call ups. But the striker position is always going to get more glory just by nature. BWP's success has a lot to do with Henry and Sacha passing him the ball, and unfortunately BWP misses more chances than we would like but it's the reason we can afford him and he is here. He's been an absolute work horse and has never really become quiet on the field. S couple short droughts but he's just always been there, so he deserves that recognition.

Ultimately we need to win an MLS Cup and it's got to come off his boot to solidify this potential all time MVP status. I can guarantee you if that happens and he finishes his career with 100+ goals we won't need to have this discussion.

BWP would make the Metro All-Time Starting XI for sure - assuming Henry is playing LM and it's a 2 striker formation because JPA is probably ahead of him too.  It's no insult to say he's behind those two as a forward.

BWP isn't even our best player right now. That goes to Sacha. But he is playing well and has had a great career. Henry is the best player to ever wear the shirt though. BWP would even say that. And not because he's just being nice.

Let's not twist the facts. As great as BWP has been, his contributed just ONE goal to the 2013 Supporters Shield.

but out of all seriousness, I've never seen a striker who scores so many goals be so bad at taking penalties as BWP. Penalties are the simplest and most fundamental aspect of goal scoring in the entire game. How can a player call themselves a great goal scorer and not be able to put them away?

BWP was 8/8 on PKs before missing his last 4 (counting the open cup shootout). I would say 8/12 is pretty average.
