I thought we played well. And the exposure and money is nice. I don't really think these things generate more than a few dozen long-term fans for the domestic side, but it should only help (unless your squad gets fucked up 7-0) so why not, I suppose.

Easy 12k+ Arsenal fans there...we'd sell out every match if those fuckers would support the local boys.

I had two first-timers sitting next to me (Arsenal fan and his Liverpool-supporting wife) and after chatting with them through the first half they had decided to become season ticket holders. Mission accomplished.

Almost like the team should be hiring people to do that...

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

I didn't watch the game but the MLS Soccer write up makes it sound like we played very well - beter possesion, fluid passing, Dax being Dax 2013. Yeah plus I paid for 2 of my season tickets by selling for this game!

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Is the new flavor of Red Bull not a fine product?

Maybe you're right and Lampard and Villa are a better product that the Eurosnob have been craving, but... well, I dunno. Guess we have to wait and see. A lot of looking ahead this season by fans, media, ownership, and the league.

I think Villa will destroy the MLS, Lampard not so much.
