No, but DotThink has it right.

It is fine to talk about college-related stuff during an interview, but they tend to focus on where you've previously worked, what you did/didn't do/learn, and what your "personality" is like. Fortunately for me, my contact just got me in the door, I had to really do well during the interview in order to get the job, and in the end, I did get the job.

Good luck on the job search.

RIP Guillermo Romulo and Alexander Francis Orig.

I don't care about NYCFC or the Cosmos.  I only care about Metro.

I do remember the times driving to school with a beat up car that would only go 40mph, and staying in the right lane with my hazzards on (serious). I also remember having a part time job at Carvel in order to have a few bucks in my pocket. I also remember not knowing what the hell I wanted to do for a living.....I thought it would come to me at some point.

I am marking my 1st anniversarry on these boards. It was also my first year with season tickets and EVERY single person I met at games, tailgates, roadtrips, etc. were just incredible!!! Weather Italian, Polish, S. American, whatever.......every single person was just incredibly nice to me.

If anyone is looking for a job, wants career advice, is working on a resume, etc., I would be happy to help out. I know how difficult it can be and am happy to give back if possible. I am not a CEO of a company or anything like that, but I am in a comfortable position currently (which is all relative).

Post on here or send me a PM and I'll respond.

It seems with each passing year, the latter part becomes more true.

Besides a basic skill set, it really is a matter of timing and who you know to get your foot in the door.

Got mine from attending a media panel. Doesn't hurt to go to networking events every now and then. Join a professional organization and etc. if you can.

I will probably be in the job hunting mode in a few months as well.

Keep your head up and keep posting resumes online and applying.
I am out of the indoor waterpark (thank GOD!) and a month into my new job and I love it! Out of nowhere I got about 25 phone calls and interviews in a matter of two weeks. I chose the one with killer benefits and huge growth potential with a good starting salary over Real Salt Lake, Atlanta Hawks/Thrashers, Miami Dolphins and a few others.

Best bet: MonsterTrak.com
Its Monster geared towards college grads.

Send me a PM if you are still struggling and I'm sure I can help you out.

And with grammar like that, you will be looking into the following May. ;)

Someone a bunch of us know just got a job with the Hawks. Where's you end up? hope you're still around.

JP Dellacamera?

And yes, job hunting blows...My career as a freelancer is just about over due to my intense hatred of constantly having to find the next gig.

Another piece of advice for recent college grads. Dont be afraid to apply for or take jobs that are not in your field of study. My job i have now is no where close to what i studied in college, however it pays really good and i've advanced positions within the company in only a matter of 3 and a half years.
