I don't know if anyone here is responsible for it, but there is a new Fire blogger at the popular Offside website.

Full disclosure: I used to write the Fire blog there myself, but had to stop as I've too much on my plate writing elsewhere. I don't have any affiliation with the writer or with the Offside any more, but the more Fire media out there the better in my view, and his first few posts are solid.

In general, there don't seem to be many Fire blogs compared to some MLS teams (DC have a particularly strong contingent), and that's a bit of a shame given how important blogs are becoming as media outlets in sports. Perhaps more people from here could contribute to the blogs on the Section 8 site, too. . .

Ill be writing for AOL Fanhouse as soon as I get myself unlazy. I plan on focusing mainly on soccer, and try to be somewhat neutral wrt MLS teams...try.

That's great. Do you read David Warner there? Posts good stuff on soccer. Big Railhawks fan, which led to some gloating from him earlier this year.

Nice, I like it. I say the more Fire content the better. Blogs really give fans another outlet to fuel their passion and engage them in the community. I agree that more blogs about the Fire would be helpful. I'm actually in the process of starting my own, I think I have some pretty interesting articles lined up.

Good to hear. Please a post a link here when you do so, and I'll link it from my own soccer blog.

I'd also encourage people who read Fire blogs to comment on them regularly -- fan blogging is usually unpaid and feedback really helps develop the community and keeps the writer going.

As mentioned earlier, I published a blog that is slowly coming together. Right now it focuses on everything MLS, but I'm in the process of creating some content for a Fire-specific section. It's hard breaking down some story without bringing in the Fire to my analysis :-)

Feel free to drop by, leave some comments, and bookmark it if you like it. I have plans for some exciting material coming very soon...

I interned in the FO for a little while and trust me they are so dumb had they payed off the refs they probably would have presented them one of those huge checks during halftime on the field.

I may be writing for Soccercityfc.com in the near future. The editor asked me on to write about Fire or whatever....it's mostly international stuff. A good number of hits, but few comments....I'll let you know when/if I do.
