Nunez
Pavon
Chris Brown

Maybe we could go after one of these guys? I do remember that Nunez was decent before Morrow brought in the hired guns. I think he has a green card, but represents Honduras.

My personal order until the 7th pick (our pick)
1-Kyle Veris-amazing potential and only 17K
2-Ramon Nunez-see Elly A Zar's post
3-Chris Brown-getting older but still creates solid chances every game
4-Orlando Perez-much better than Leitch in the back. Always played well with the Metros IMO. Made 70K last year.
5-Zach Thornton-Gives Conway some competition. at the very least until someone else comes around
6-Carlos Pavon-Old and Overpaid. Where would he fit if JPA and Altidore are back. That's the big question though. JPA out due to coach, Altidore out to Real...uh oh. Pavon might come in handy.
7-David Arvizu-Still a young player and at one point an up and coming star. We won him in the lottery, had him a few years and demanded a trade to LA. Went to Chivas now nobody wants him? Maybe a good time to get him back and develop him some more?

Veris or Brown would be my choice.

R. Nunez's salary is significantly high. 125K+. No thanks for that price. Thornton is too old. Pavon is too old and too expensive. This would be a Metro signing of 5 years ago. Sign an aging international who will score two goals for us. And Arvizu didn't like it here, so why would he come back?

As far as Carlisle go, I'm sure most of our fans and especially management would LOVE to have a SG with the enthusiasm ESC shows. There's been a group trying to start something similar in Carlisle this season but they aren't even remotely close to the ESC. - Harraby Lad

Blake Camp.

That's it? I thought we waived a half-dozen or so last year.

You do realize that more often than not the entire waiver draft consists of two or less selections?

It amazed me when I talked to Arvizu at the 2006 Media Day how much he seemed like... a kid. Compared to Jozy, who is the same age, it was night and day. Since then, he's had what, 2 teams, 4 head coaches, and couldn't get on the field.

I know college soccer gets a bad wrap, but this kid was definitely NOT ready for the pros. He could have spent two years in college for better use -- for his life and for his career -- than his wasted time in MLS so far.

Ummm... that he is a lame duck and was probably asked to keep the roster in tact for the real coach? You can always waive players later.

How does the waiver draft work?

Is it like the nfl's supplemental draft?

cuz IMO I think Nunez cuold play left wing for Metro towards the tail end of the season that was a revolving door for Metro and discarding the beginning of the season it felt like no production came from the spot.

Wow, Oprah got waived. I'm actually shocked by this development.

I would think he would be a solid keeper for San Jose to start with.
