big props for SL even after being kicked out of the section ...they still kept going .jumping ,chanting...... all i could say is wow.I would like to thank FO and MS for being the biggest assholes .We could only blame them for what happened after the match.They got everyone pissed and shit happened.If section 118 and 117 are GA wtf!!?? they should stop putting seats on the tickets...or even better maybe remove the benches.But hey if they keep this up theres going to be a riot . Am still a bit pissed off..hopefully we could get something fixed.
==== ==== ==== ==== Moderator Edit and Summary A summary for those not wishing to go through all 20+ pages What follows were S8C's demands presented to the Fire this week: • Club representatives (MS) have treated SL in an exceptionally racist manner since 2005, and now it has manifested as direct verbal epithets and physical violence • The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is ultimately responsibile for the actions of its contracted representatives (Toyota Park, Monterrey, etc) • We can no longer accept Monterrey's authority in 117/118, and a series of escalating actions will be employed to achieve this • Two options are outlined for replacing the current matchday security setup that entirely remove current personnel Important: This post summarises the Fire's response at the meeting with S8Con Wednesday, August 13 http://www.soccerpubs.com/boards/index.php...st&p=618920 Here are details on the planned protest: The first such action will be at the DC United match next Saturday, where :: • 117/118 will remain seated and silent the whole first half • SL will be in the center of 117/118, surrounded by section regulars (likely wearing SL shirts) • At some point in the first half, SL will stand and sing in unison for the remainder • Two banners (one english, one spanish) will be made and used to communicate our message • No other banners or flags will be used (we ask everyone to leave their flags either down or at home) • Match Crew will be employed in the aisles and the lot to distribute material in explaining the protest and act as liaisons to fans in 117/118 and adjacent all match -------------------- ................FuErZa ChIkaGo....................

I promise to Sector Latino to do everything I can to fix what went wrong before we have our next game. I'm embarrassed that you're treated the way you are by stadium staff and security.

I can't believe all the b.s. going on last night in 117. I agree if we all need to stand up for each other in the sections.

Sector Latino proved last night they are the most important part of the section, the difference was night and day in the section from what i heard up top with Pattrick. In the first half, i heard more sector latino than I heard from section 8. Other groups need to take notes on how to truly support a team. I really want to see what sector latino has for tifo ideas because we need to change it up from the regular 5 same flags.

So what happened? (I didn't see / hear from where I was) If Monterrey is messing with Sector Latino we all need to show some solidarity. I was thinking the same thing, If FO and MS continue like this, Im sure were gonna have the same problem when galaxy comes to town. This needs to be resolved ASAP. Before this gets out of hand. Those people were just walk up or just got the cheap seats to that game, not knowing what goes on in our section. -------------------- ![]() |

I am under the understanding that the SL was kicked out of 117 because people were sitting down? I was trying to Cheer with DJ and others and we had to squeeze so far in because people were sitting down. The people I was with dealt with it, but should have had to? Also I was on the concourse above section 117 and there were a line of MS thugs. What is that about. I stand with SL as a enthusiastic supporters of the team. Get a clue MS, most of the guys are young, I am older than 99% of the them, so MS should understand that.... I think that is far as I will go with that, but it can go to darker places, as far as motivation for the MS to treat people like that. We all have to stand with SL so it doesn't happen again. I am calling my ticket rep and letting them know it is not acceptable....

I am calling my ticket rep and letting them know it is not acceptable.... I hope everyone does. Thanks for the update. I know they're concerned. I had called the head of ticket sales over to explain the situation and he was visibly upset. But in the end similar problems are going to continue until the root cause is fixed. The root cause being the treatment of Sector Latino. Long story short, some security guards were baiting them into a fight Saturday night by calling them "spics" and gesturing for them to "fuck off". It's obvious to me that Sector Latino is viewed as, and treated like, "gang banging, trouble making spics". Obviously this has to end before August 16th. The group is upset and humiliated. They were paraded out of the section like a bunch of criminals, only to be told that they did nothing wrong. But how many of thousands of people that witnessed the exodus know they did nothing wrong? How many people now believe that they're just a bunch of gang-banging, trouble making spics? They're angry because they know no group of 50 white people would be ejected, told they did nothing wrong and left without some fix for their situation. Would a youth team from [insert name of some random suburb here] be pulled from a section only to be left without a place to go? No, multiple representatives from the team and the stadium would be bending over backwards to take care of them. What hospitality is shown to our Sector Latino friends? Sector Latino obviously has my full support. I know many of you, regardless of who the racism was directed towards, will not stand for racism in the section under any conditions. -------------------- Remember the bad influences your parents warned you about? I have already called mine and req. a call back (she was not in)--but I will also be taking this issue to them and let them know it is not acceptable.
Should, for any reason, there be a repeat of this incident against SL, I honestly would like to see it if all of the section emptied itself and carry on supporting the team from the concourse, but not the stands. It is a good way to stand behind them (SL), and still not deny the team our full support. |

Racism = unacceptable.
If any racism is directed towards you, get the guard's badge number and report it to Monterrey HQ. During the Great Flaring, the security guard who apprehended me called me a "chink." Of course, I was a tad upset, but didn't seek to get the man fired because I had more important things to worry about at the time. These assholes are looking to nab any of us at any time for anything. With that said, I don't think I will smoke cigarettes in the section anymore. -------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() |

People with Fire are saying that Sector Lation got in a big fight with Chivas fans. Now the problem is not security or the way they treat the sector but that they got in a fight so it justifies how they treat them. Well I am salty, I gave my ticket rep quite a bit of stuff for it.....
