Soo... yesterday I had to go to A costco to return a thing I bought in Cali... I flagged down a driver and we decided to go to the Costco at Hackensack coz I live right by the Fort W bridge/95... I get my item returned and decide I want to buy more socks. Well, this woman snaps at me and asks what I'm doing in there (clothes section) and explains me that business in Bergen County cannot sell anything but food on Sundays...
So yeah, apparently the OB must be a clothing prohibition mafia if they are selling clothing on Sundays!

The residents and politicians of Bergen County. It was implemented to give people a day off from all the damn traffic and madness that happens on Saturdays in the route 17. Rt 4 area.

Have these people ever stepped foot outside of their county? Now, when I went to the Costco in Queens, I went in and out faster than the cars because I walked! But not having businesses open (like the malls out there) is essentially costing people jobs/hours/money!

As shitty as traffic is in LA, and in Manhattan, during the weekdays, are they going to stop people from working M-F as a result to "solve" this problem? And since people work M-F, they only have Saturdays to shop at the malls opposed to 2 days a week!

It will take you some time but I do have faith that you will understand these differences and appreciate their so called inconveniences as nuances of your new home.

Leave all of your judgments/comparisons/worldview based on where you came from behind. It will make things easier and you will like living here better than there in a relatively short amount of time.

One more thing, Bergan County does suck a fat cock.

Pregame pints 15. Ticket to the game 60. Carlsburg, Meatpie and Crisps 16. Seeing an American score on another American at a Premier League match in England; Priceless.

Yes but when you actually LIVE there and cant go anywhere to enjoy your weekend without having to spend 40 minutes to get in out of the highways, not to mention the traffic on them, youd want a break too. Its not costing anyone jobs/hours/money. Most people who work there work part time and are kids and have 6 other days to choose from. This thing has been in place for ages, its nothing new and its never hurt the county since its one of the RICHEST in the country. So they must be doing SOMETHING right...

I can only look at it from the driving perspective because I walk/subway it everywhere (except for the weekends when I HAVE to take a bus from 179th to 168th because of "maintenance") but I wish they would figure out how to solve that problem in LA because at times, it would take me like 30min-90min to drive to the HDC on a Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, whenever. I believe the rich part because man, they have this really modern looking prison not too far from the Costco. I know if I can't pay back my loans, I'll commit a crime over there and live in paradise!
