I did this league wide for opening day weekend. If MLS doesn't want to lend a hand, then it's up to us fans.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the 2010 MLS home openers. I was able to get a league wide discount of 5% (hey, beer money) on American Airlines for flights. This is good for the following airports:

Columbus (CMH)
Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
Los Angeles (LAX/BUR/ONT/SNA)
New York (EWR/HPN/JFK/LGA)
Kansas City (MCI)
Seattle/Tacoma (SEA)
San Jose (SFO/SJC)

The discount/meeting code (7130AJ) (on AA.com or on the phone) is good for flights March 22 -31, so stay a weekend. Or not.

A discount code from Avis will be forthcoming, but it will probably be in the 5%-10% range.

I know, it's only 5%, so feel free to tell me to GFY but I figured, hey, if you can save a few bucks, then awesome.

If this goes well I'll try to get AA to bump up a discount for us and expand it for more 2010 games (when the schedule comes out.)
