Fred gets some of the details wrong (calling Section 8/the ISA a supporters' group) but it's well-intentioned.

Dear Section 8:
On the occasion of Section 8's AGM, I wanted to take the opportunity to first and foremost say thank you for all you've done to support the Chicago Fire Soccer Club for the past 12 seasons. Your ongoing--and unwavering--passion and commitment is inspiring to the club, as well as to me personally. We all feed off your collective energy, which was never more evident than during the 2009 playoffs. The spirited atmosphere that engulfed all of Toyota Park was so intense and powerful, it was truly unforgettable.
Second, on behalf of the entire Fire organization, I send my congratulations to all the new and returning members of the board and thank those departing members for their dedicated service. We look forward to working closely with you this season as we aim towards not only building a championship team and returning the MLS Cup back to Chicago, but continuing to strengthen relationships with our supporters and the greater Chicagoland community.
We have so much to look forward to this season with our new coach, Carlos de los Cobos, and some talented new additions to the team along with the return of many key players. I feel strongly that the club is on the verge of an exciting new era.
Again, thank you for all that you do for our club. I hope to schedule another fan forum before Opening Night on April 10th. Our get-together last November was a great experience for me, Fire leadership, and I hope for you as well. Please join me for this event, as I'm looking forward to continuing our conversation.
In the meantime, I hope to see you all soon at our Season Kickoff Luncheon.
Go Fire!

Did anyone here steal my mom's earmuffs while at the AGM? She would like them back in the condition they were when found.
Thanks!
If they were brown, check with Ian.

"Steal" is a pretty harsh word.
