See a few people gave Hell on Wheels a try in Season 1 (I am a fan). I attended the Season 2 premiere last night... they screened the first 2 episodes. First was a little slow, mostly buildup setting up the season, but the second episode was arguably the best I have seen thus far. Cast was pretty cool - it was a small event (much smaller than a movie premiere), so they were down for photos and shot the shit for a few minutes with everyone.
Cool. How many episodes are in season 2?

It is my understanding that there will be 10 episodes (to mirror the first season), 4 of which have been announced for titles thus far. I hope the show does well, cast and production crew were very friendly and approachable. Granted, I was introduced to them as one of their advertising partners, but they all did well to make time to say hello and were quite gracious. Dominique McElligott is ridiculous in person, just drop dead gorgeous.

At times it was a bit too slow paced for my liking, especially with only 10 episodes each season.
Terrific set of characters for sure and even the damsel in distress turned from victim/annoying survivor to a quite ruthless business woman. Also, the black-white-indian connection (all outsiders/outlaws in their way) remind me a bit of Kirk, Bones and Spock at times.
Where is it filmed btw?

I'm looking forward to the 2nd Hell on Wheels season which will begin in a week or so.

America's hat... mostly in Vancouver. For another weird ethnic layer, Dominique McElligott is actually Irish, but her character is English in the show. Next season, she has a little quarrel with the two Irish brothers, and has to talk down to them being from Ireland. Doesn't matter though, cause she is smoking hot... although they have to cover her up in the show, obviously.

never would have guessed that by the scenery, despite it being "Hollywood North" and I've been all over the Vancouver area a couple of times.

It's very much "Chandler Bing in therapy"
Isaac: So when I told you guys we were on it, I meant to say we're on the motherfucker, go back in there and relax...

speechless by all the happenings in the last episodes and the season 2 finale. Can't believe it's over again for a long while, but at least it's probably a safe bet to come back in 2013.
Go On
still tuning in after episode 5 or so.
Vegas
Watched the first 2 episodes and despite a promising cast, as well as the 60s setting, it don't plan on continue watching it.
Dexter
Started watching Dexter (smainly because of a certain CHUCK lady having a guest arc soon) 2 very good episodes so far.
Last Resort
Promising but I'm dreading the thought of it being more than mini series. How long can you stretch such a plot till it goes south...

It's another one of those "He's a cop, who doesn't play by the rules", except that he's an Irishman in 1864 New York City.
So it's a period piece that is very rooted in the class/race divisions of the time.
It's pretty violent, and it has a not quite HBO level of naked coupling, for those of you who like to watch that sort of thing (as opposed to just participating, which I imagine we all enjoy - or would like to enjoy in some your cases.
The story telling is pretty good, and the main characters have developed quite a bit. There's also a wheels within wheels element to the meta-narrative.
Take a look

Walking Dead has been great this season.
I was really surprised at the last episode. Didn't expect that to happen.

It doesn't matter how simplistic you make your point, there will be someone who misunderstands you.
