I didn't realize they didn't get paid before. Soccer players for the USA do, so why not USA hoops? It's not like they have to get paid Le Bron money. Just Lin money would suffice.

someone made a hell of a point on the radio that if anyone were to get paid for the Olympics, it wouldn't start with basketball players based on viewership.

If, like most owners, Benson wants to also have the teams he owns share colors, he should switch the Hornets to Black and Gold, then chose a pirate inspired name. If I recall correctly Jean Lafitte is a hero in the area.
