Lazio and Genoa met at the Stadio Olympico. Into the 11th minute, Lazio gets the lead behind a nice effort from Giuseppe Sculli. Lazio grabbed the lead and held the advantage into the second half.
But the home side had the answer. Rodrigo Palacio came out ahead in a one-on-one battle. Geona equalizes the score at 1. Lazio's defense was nailed again when Juraj Kuzka scored the go-ahead goal. Genoa went on to win it, 2-1.
