Not sure why anyone would take him on as a rehab gig without some kind of longer term commitment. When did he last play?I think his name was mentioned before but David Bentley pops up again. Would be interesting if he came here but I doubt Soler would be interested in a loan tho.

He does know that MLS plays during the summer and his loan wouldn't have to end in May, right?
Who said anything about May? I think the whole point of him coming here would be to get match fitness.

Tottenham Hotspur right winger David Bentley has opened discussions with one mystery Major League Soccer club over a loan move until summer, MLSsoccer.com has learned.
The 27-year-old England international is seeking a short-term stint in America to get the games needed for regaining full fitness from an October knee injury suffered on loan to West Ham United. On Monday, UK tabloid the Daily Mail reported interest from League One promotion hopefuls MK Dons, but Bentley's agent says he favors an MLS sojourn.
"This is something that is really interesting for David, as it will also get him fit through the summer," his rep, Rob Segal, told MLSsoccer.com on Monday. "He would like to go there on loan as soon as possible."
Either through the summer or until the summer.

I think it is just bad journalism.

I'm hearing rumors that Chicago Fire are actively pursuing him. He was a very good player until he messed up his ankle in 2007 at Chelsea. At 35, I say pass. If we want to sign an old Euro I say Seedorf or Raul are better choices. I'd rather see a younger DP but that doesn't mean it will happen any time soon.
