Also not our job to worry about the starting 11 but that doesn't hold anyone back.

It's a legit question and I'm not sure there is a right answer. In the other thread I seen people suggesting giving away the tickets for peanuts but that is absolutely the wrong way to go about it. You can't insult your season ticket holders like that.

Just keep advertising and hoping the team wins.... The team winning is going to get people in the stands. When they see that the Bulls play an exciting brand of soccer and have the best player in the league, they'll be entertained. People want to see goals and the Red bulls bring that.

The NJ Nets were in the NBA finals 2 years in a row and they couldn't sell out a smaller arena. Sometime the team, sport, area isn't right. I think our location is great but the style of soccer isn't what people want to see. The Cosmos were great back than because the EPL isn't was it is now and internet coverage wasn't around. We def need more marketing but there is more to it than that.

I don't see an attendance problem, i'm there every game. But if there is a problem it's the team not showing up every game.
Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

1. How about making the upper bowl seats that are always empty cheaper? Yes I know the season ticket holders would be pissed if the price of some sections went down but having seats filled is better than having an empty section. $10 seats would be a good deal. Given the fact that many ticket holders apparently didn't renew for this season what have we got to lose ? Also because of scalpers selling tickets below face value, stub-hub and people literally giving tickets away being a season ticket holder is a little pointless. This ain't the Knicks or the Yankees. You're not going to have to deal with regularly sold out games and scalpers selling tickets at jacked up prices.....

2. Do something about the PATH nightmare that occurs after every game. People should not have to leave 10 minutes before the end of the game to avoid the hassle...

3. Nobody has mentioned this but what if Red Bull partnered up with a local bus company and offered service to the arena from selected locations in Manhattan to bring people in ? They could offer a combo deal that included transportation and entry to the game. Many of these Chinatown bus companies have rock bottom operating costs so they could be chartered cheaply. Of course I do not know how many fans the team has in the NY area vs NJ . I'm guessing a 50/50 split.

I fucking hate the new metrofanatic layout !!!!

Not turning off your most loyal fans with bullshit price increases and having the audacity to suggest they should be happy for the "gift" they received in cheaper ticket prices the previous years.

all these are good ideas that should be implemented. and in addition to #3, I'd expand that program into a major outreach to the area college campuses. That is a virtually untapped pool of thousands. On top of it, the college crowd is more likely to appreciate the atmosphere, the pre-game and post-game scene, and have a more positve affective reaction to the RedBull brand than the general public. Give college kids a good multi-game ticket deal that includes transportation and food/drink, you'll get alot of fans in the seats who have the potential to become lifelong supporters.
RedBull gives you wings...and the wings given to the RBNY marketing/PR team were from a Dodo bird.

The ideas already mentioned are apparent no-brainers which makes it all the more infuriating. Would also be nice for Red Bull to promote the team outside of the local MLS/US soccer geek circles and I'm not talking about soccer moms and corporate suits.

The huge posters in Manhattan, full page ads in newspapers and mentions on Univision a couple of years ago wasn't exactly brilliant but was better than nothing.

Did they ever create more parking next to the arena or is that barren, minefield-looking wasteland next to the stadium still there?
You're a fucking monkey.

It seems Philly fans have signed up on metrofanatic to vote for themselves (in 'What team do you hate more?') . No real fan of this team would vote anything other than DC.

The 1 pm time is still crazy. The Yankees and Mets can do it because that's the way baseball started. 7 OR 730 Saturday night was perfect. Why did they mess with it? Instead games are at different times and more Sunday games...brilliant. Pointy ball games are either at 1 PM or 4 PM and everyone knows it. For a team looking to build a fanbase and viewership, it doesn't make sense to have the start times all over the place.
