Couldn't the description of the Galaxy logo be applied to the Cosmos logo?

I always thought Galaxy was a reference to the Cosmos, besides the whole Hollywood thing

San Francisco Gales has the best logo. I'm sorry. But it works so well. The two Gs with the Golden Gate bridge in it. Totally owns GCZ's logo.

Couldn't disagree more.
It's extremely dated, bland and has zero color. You can't tell those are G's around the bridge unless you're looking for it. That bridge could be from Brooklyn or San Francisco. Reminds me of government logos designed in the 40's & 50's (I think that's the time period I'm thinking of):

It's a fail of a team crest on all levels except simplicity.

Then again, I'm no design major.

Our logo kicks ass, could care less about the drink factor!
Wasting away on another forum, oh joy!

The dynamo and galaxy logo choices are mind boggling. I think the both suck. That's just me though
"I'm sure we won't hear much from [Philly] because of the quality of our fans, of how loud and how boisterous they are," Petke said. "They're probably going to drown them out. But I welcome it. I love it..."

I would say 5 or 6 people actively posting on this board actually know what you're talking about.
Jamison on Henry's nomination for 2012 MLS MVP:

"I think it would be great if he won, but at the last second Roy Miller stepped up and accepted the award."

First of all, Dynamo, really? One of the worst logos in MLS, looks like someone spilled orange Fanta on a windshield chip.

I agree with some other of his choices, but I do think it's funny he puts "Descriptiveness" as a category, and then proceeds with almost every logo to say "well it's not descriptive". What exactly do you want? A soccer ball and a goal? A player in uniform? You can't make those elements look "good", so teams leave them out. Why is it so important to be descriptive anyway, are these logos being placed in out-of-market ad space with no other accompanying text? Seems like a strange category to gripe over.

This thing only has 3 elements. Whats more to say?

Shield, Star, LA, Galaxy. 4 elements.
