Should I assume you, S. Bones, will swallow hard and root for Seattle next time?

That game will be tough one. I'll have to work hard to forget that it's happening.

The semi-finals:

KC 2:0 Philly
Seattle 4:1 goats

The shocker and scandal is that, according to MLS' site, KC will host the final. I expect the Fans Who Are Better Fans Than You Because They Invented Being Soccer fans will not be pleased.

Anyway, Wiz on the Sounders!

I hope Seattle wins so their fans can have a bigger sense of accomplishing absolutely nothing. Congrats Seattle, your name will be right along side Greek American AA. Now that's a true powerhouse. Cunts.

Except that if Seattle wins their fans will remind us that they're the best at being insufferable. Go KC!

What will get more tv ratings? The cup final or the Euro abortion between Madrid and Milan?

Given the amount of people that actually get GolTV I'd say the big bad euro brawl

I have a few friends from KC that have become SKC fans over the past 8 months (funny how that happens right?) They seem to think this is the biggest game in the history of everything and won't shut up about it on Twitter, facebook, ect. I don't have it in me to tell them how pointless this tournament is. It's like telling a 5-year-old Santa doesn't exist.

Didn't the Open Cup final used to the on Fox Soccer Channel? So now that I switch my cable around so I get FSC but not Gol it's moved to GolTV - figures. So I'll be looking for a pirated link.

Haha... posted like a true soccer hipster.

Obviously the tournament doesn't mean a whole lot these days, but it does have some history behind it.

And the times we won the thing, we were happy. I like to think it was with good reason.

GolTV's standard def on my teevee makes it seem like I'm watching this through a shower door.

Not very friendly - both teams could have a guy sent off so far.

I hate Seattle's douchebaggery as much as anybody, but I want this Cup to be a big deal, so I'm willing to consider it a big deal.
