This seemed as good a way as any to start a thread: Better know an opponent.

C'mon, Gs, make Omar your third DP already!

It's amazing how fast the CCL games restart. I think CONCACAF really wants to see the"Last Beckham Tour" in some small countries.

I wonder if Bruce is taking this tournament as "seriously" as he did last year?

Do the kids get a run out? Do the big three start?

I probably have to change my pre-CCL match ritual this year.... El Pescador it is I guess...

With a full lineup, we should crush these fuckers and dominate goal difference in the group.

I have a feeling that since we have David Beckham and the whole world is watching, Isidro will play the match of their lives by trying harder than they every would against anyone else.

...ooooh ooooooooh we are the riot squad...

Donovan's status in question for Metapán match due to hamstring strain

CARSON, Calif. -- Landon Donovan is still dealing with a left hamstring strain that has his status in question for Thursday's CONCACAF Champions League opener against Isidro Metapán

The injury first surfaced "about ten minutes in" during last Wednesday's U.S. friendly victory over Mexico at the Estadio Azteca and ultimately caused him to be subbed out at half time of the 1-0 U.S. win. Although he is not listed on the club's injury report, Donovan confirmed to reporters following Wednesday's training session that it was a mild strain, but the Galaxy captain is hopeful that he'll be able to play a role on Thursday.

"We're going to see how it is tomorrow. We'll kind of play it by ear and hope that I can contribute tomorrow."

League game on Sunday, I dunno if Brucey will field a full squad. Does Brucey think about league position? I dunno I dunno. Will there be more fans at this game than there were for the last G's vs goats game? All I want is for the G's to blast these jerks.

I will care about this tournament again once we are in the final. Maybe semi final.

You gotta admit we don't exactly have a good track record with this. I can sympathize with those who feel the burden is on the team to show up.

That said...
I think the players want to do well in this tourney no matter what the upper ups care about. I don't think you can hold them back this time.

We'll see!

Acquaint yourselves.

SCOUTING REPORT VS PR...No one covers the far post on corners...even after getting burned twice, the keeper had come up with a great save to keep it from being a hat trick of headers to the far post.

Should be a good game tonight vs Metapan.

Ergo, Omar with a brace, plus one from Keane and one from 30 yards from Juninho.

I hope we win.
