I think I wrote a sentence or two for Duni last year. Hands down one of my favorite G's players of all time. So many non futbol factors that go into the LARS POTY award. If Duni punches that dirty hippy from RSL in Saturday's match, he'll have my vote.
I was trying to remember who it was... I remember reading it then and thinking Hmmmm, that does make sense.
I won't beat this one to death but unless something mind blowing happens Todd is my man.

YES.Frank Yallop hates him. That should gain Duni a number of votes.
I vote against Todd is a vote for Frank Yallop.
I think I've found the official campaign slogan.
If you're not creepin', you're not trying...

Right now for me it's between Becks, AJ, and Todd. I went with a full campaign last year, dubbing him the Silent Assassin, cause he gets no praise and all opposing plays die at his hand (slight exaggeration, I know). AJ definitely has the LARS attitude. Beckham has finally showed the LARS commitment. I'm still undecided who'll have my full support. But for now, I'm still in Camp Todd.

- Duni - He's been here the whole time, he generally doesn't get the recognition that he deserves and seems to truly care about being a G. However, at the beginning of the season, he seemed disinterested and wouldn't pay much attention to the center back pairing of the week - too often he'd play his own game and end up being out of position because of that.
- AJ - Also been here the whole season. Commitment never flagged. Much like Todd, seems to enjoy being here. Never complained once about the center back pairings or the problems the team had at the beginning of the season (very un-LARS like
). Again much like Duni - doesn't get the recognition he deserves. And don't forget "the eyes"!
- Saunders - Missed part of the season because of rehab (maybe drinking or drugs? - so very LARS-like), when he is the keeper, the defense looks better - he commands the back line. Often hung out to dry by his midfield/defense - no complaints. His play made Ricketts trade-able. If we still had Ricketts, (we'd need more vitamin D - ha!) we would have more salary cap issues and may not have been able to afford both Brazilians in midfield, Buddle up top, or the Swede.
A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

And the evidence continues to mount...I once asked Todd who would win between the 2005 vs 2011 Galaxy Championship teams, which he both played on, he replied:
"I would love to see an arm wrestling match between Bruce Arena and Steve Sampson."
Todd for POTY!

No, his salary and durability made Ricketts tradeable. Had Saunders and Ricketts had the same salary, even with his injuries, I assure you, Ricketts would still be our keeper.Saunders - Missed part of the season because of rehab (maybe drinking or drugs? - so very LARS-like), when he is the keeper, the defense looks better - he commands the back line. Often hung out to dry by his midfield/defense - no complaints. His play made Ricketts trade-able. This deserves some consideration:
Awkward. Not sure what to make of that considering the time Robbie has spent in the UK with many of the players. Especially in slow motion. Definitely does not make me inclined to vote for Robbie for POTY.
