I agree. Our midfield reminded me of this:Ya'know what's *always* worked......launching the ball over-the-top and HOPE someone gets to it and does something....
.....yep, solid game plan.
Bruce has mentioned that there will be changes. We'll need 'em against San Ho.
P.S. Hockey is a foreign communist plot that has no place in America.

But Beckham really messed up our shape.
You could see it from his first touch - instead of staying central he drifted out right and played a 50 yard diagonal ball.
And then he kind of played wide right - at least in attack, but also stood around at sort of right-center-ish back. Against Seattle, Beckham stayed higher and more central and that helped a lot. Even last night, Beckham's most effective touches came when he moved inside. But not last night. I think this was a big part of why Jimenez was so lost. I think every player grows up knowing how to play with a forward who just stands around in attack. Beckham's style of inactivity presents a unique challenge to a young player.
All that said, Bruce needs to start with Sarvas on the pitch. He gets how to play in MLS now, and he knows how to be Beckham's caddy. This is doubly important if Juninho can't go.
I'm glad we won.

said Marcelo Sarvas. “We just got to do our game and keep the ball on the floor and pass and move, but that will be fine.”
